Why sources matter
Every team has a memory problem. The answer to almost any question already exists: in a doc nobody reopened, a ticket closed last spring, a thread that scrolled away. People guess instead, because finding it takes longer than being wrong.
AI made the finding fast, and then made the trust slow. An answer with no source is a rumor with good grammar. You can’t forward it, defend it, or fix it when it’s wrong. So we made one rule: every sentence Lanternfish writes carries a link to the page it came from.
That rule shaped everything else: permissions that follow each person, connectors that keep sources fresh, and a Monday brief that shows its work. We think a team that can check its answers asks bolder questions. That’s the whole bet.
