Getting started
Invite your team and set roles
Add teammates by email or company domain, then choose who can ask, who can manage connectors and who can manage billing.
Lanternfish is most useful once the whole team can ask it questions. Free workspaces include five seats. The Team plan has no seat limit and is billed per seat each month.
Every member has one of three roles. Members can ask questions and read their own history. Admins can also add connectors, invite people and change workspace settings. Owners can do all of that plus manage billing and delete the workspace. A workspace always has at least one owner.
Invite people
Open Settings, then Members.
Select Invite and enter one or more email addresses, separated by commas.
Choose a role for the group. You can change it for each person later.
Select Send invites. Each person gets a link that stays valid for seven days.
To let anyone with your company email join on their own, turn on Domain sign-up and pick the default role.
Invited people only see sources they can already open in the original tool. Giving someone the Member role never widens what they can read. If you use SSO, your identity provider replaces invites; see “Set up SSO and SCIM”.
